MCP Project 12

The next thing up here will be MCP Project 12... they give me a monthly theme, I take up to 4 pictures around the theme, post them here and link to them. I'll shoot for 12. he, ha,... I said shoot, and I'm talking about photography! That's my joke for the day, sorry, been a long headache filled one.

Arrrrgh!!!

So, what I do is spend the summer being pulled and stretched by God into a new person. Not altogether a bad thing, but exhausting. Full time job, broken up home, fixing the broken up home... and I guess no one but me reads this anyway. I just hate leaving the poor blog here all alone! And 2 paying jobs in photography. Yipee, yahooeeee!!!

Well, Now What Do I Do?

End of the semester here. So now what do I do with this site? ANYTHING I WANT. that's not a threat, just feeling loud and rebellious. In a nice, obedient way. I'll have to think this over.

Animation...

Stop motion is a hoot! The process is the best part; trying to keep continuity, sweating blood over it and then knocking over a tree or something. I guess you have to have a sense of humor. I enjoyed the heck out of myself. And I'll never tell you how long it took to put this one together! See my video on youtube; you'll laugh for one reason or another, I guarantee it.

Talking Pictures...

I like silent, still pictures for a reason... they're calm and quiet! The rest of my life is VERY, VERY, LOUD. But I love watching video of everyday family stuff. What a hoot to look in on my life; it cracks me up (maybe not anyone else, though). I am going to do some more of this, in the summer when life isn't all homework...

B&W

This is one of those techniques that, when properly applied, makes all the difference. Some images are just supposed to be black and white. I don't think I'm a master- not bragging- I just enjoy exploring different contrast, cool vs. warm tone, using spot color... there's so much out there!

Macro

Macro photography is IT for me. I can't spend nearly enough time on it; I could live another life doing just this! But the reality is, I am busy, busy, busy with other things... I am so looking forward to the summer, when I will have a tiny bit more time to put towards this, because I have so many ideas to explore...
